One other musical oddity shared by these two games. :o

Music Code 2B (unhacked) shows that another tune may have been in composition or the composer may have goofing off creating what sounds ridiculously like one specific scrambled "old tune" or "traditional song". I just can't remember the exact name of it.

I was going to create two versions; first, the original, then a hacked version but I was lazy and couldn't directly mute channels so only the original version is uploaded.

Sound Code 2A and 2C might have another piece of music hidden within it but it's pretty difficult to tell.

Well, I have a good theory: those jingles are all mashed into one, and need to be separated.

I kind of have a solution... in the SPC file, hacking $031A from $80 to $81 mutes the track. You also have to mess around with $01Bx and the DSP values to get them glitch-free. I need to think of a better way... especially in the form of a music modifier.

And the deed is done.

Invincibility Jingle Modifier

You must use a value divisible by 02. The range is 00-0A, 10-18, 20, 30-38. 34 doesn't quite work...
On the very first level, there is a weight-like item that makes you invincible. Collect it for this code to take effect... though it's best used for dumping.
If you use this with the real music modifier, just use 00-0E for the jingle modifier, and use 2A-2D for the music modifier. Each individual track will be played depending on which one you use. 2C does not even need to use this modifier, as it's just one track.

Just consider me your friendly SPC dumper. Also a bit of a perfectionist (though not too literally)... I make sure my dumps are at the first note. I might even hack away the SFX if needed.

Want a music modifier for a particular SNES game? All you need to do is ask via PM (or you can check out the Music Modifiers topic and post there) and I'll be on the job. ^_^
