Yeah, I know Star Fox 2 hasn't gotten the cleanup I'd hoped it would yet, but I'd like to call attention to the Kat's Run SPC set. When I first joined the old Yahoo SPC dumpers group back in 2001, that set was there, in the "Incomplete" folder. Eleven years later, it's *still* incomplete. It's not that it's the most amazing soundtrack or anything, but seriously... it's eleven years overdue for completion. There's quite a bit there already, but I still have no clue how "complete" it is. A music modifier would probably help to finalize that much. There are two issues, however, for anyone who wishes to tackle it:

1) It's first-note sticking. There's a patch included, however, so this shouldn't be a big deal.

2) Some of the songs seem to have... honestly, it's very hard to describe, but if you take a look at some of the unnamed songs in the incomplete set, you'll see that I've muted some channels. This isn't because of the standard sound effects and whatnot... but rather because it sounds like there's literally another song entirely playing in the background. I have no idea if this is the result of bad dumping, bad patching, or if it's, for some reason I can't fathom, supposed to sound like this in-game, but these "background melodies" make the songs sound horrible. Hence the muting. I'd need someone to clear this up.

I'm actually kinda hoping KFF will take this one on. He does like a challenge, and this sure as hell looks like one to me.

Sounds like a good idea. I do produce music modifiers. I did find the ending credits via a YouTube video and I can fill in the composer info as well. ;)

Just consider me your friendly SPC dumper. Also a bit of a perfectionist (though not too literally)... I make sure my dumps are at the first note. I might even hack away the SFX if needed.

Want a music modifier for a particular SNES game? All you need to do is ask via PM (or you can check out the Music Modifiers topic and post there) and I'll be on the job. ^_^
