Hi I'm xxphillips
I'm new to the site and would just like to know how to load a sound effect in a snes game.
I made a code for Super Mario Kart for Player to use CPU star but I was unable to get the sound effect to play when I wanted it to, it would only
play when another sound was about to be played at the same time I press button to use my code but it always waits for in game normal sound to be played. Please can someone explain the basic ASM what needs to be used, addresses do not need to be real then I should be able to work out what addresses I need to use.

Hi Everyone I've worked out how to Play sound effects in Super Mario Kart just letting any one know who might want to know how to play sound effect.
I jumped to free space in rom then
LDA #$02 Load the A Hex value 2 A9 02
STA $6A0E STA 8D 6A0E store A 0E6A
LDA #$XX XX is hex value of sound effect you want to play A9 XX . 4F is value for CPU star sound so you would put 4F in for that sound.

STA $6C0E 8D 6C0E store A 0E6C
You need to get back to normal code that's it

So load 2 store to address 7E0E6A then load XX value of sound effect you want to play then store 7E0E6C
