* This subforum is for the general discussion of video game soundtracks, and the uploading of emulated-game music formats, including, but not limited to SPC, SNSF, NSF, GBS, PSFs, USFs, GSFs, etc. as well as the respective format's mini*sf extension and files (*sflibs, etc.) required by the format are allowed to be posted here.

* Individual songs can be uploaded as-is, but full soundtracks should ideally be compressed either via .rar, .zip or .7z, or they will be subject to deletion. Subtune-based formats including, but not limited to NSF, GBS, SID, etc do not need to compressed due the nature of their small given size and direct portability.

* Do not upload anything that could be in violation of American copyright laws. Yes, they're silly, arcane, and draconian, but we'd really rather not have to deal with their over-zealous enforcers. This includes links to such files.

Both retimed for the proper two loops

Thanks, added to the mirror.

Four mores:

Final Fantasy 9:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/FF9.rar

There are actually a whole lot of songs missing from this set, but as they're all streamed (various FMV songs), there's not a lot that can be done. They were all eventually released as part of an "OST Plus", though.

Final Fantasy 10:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/FF10.rar

This one was a bitch to retime; particularly Nakano's tracks. Very ambient soundtrack. I'm not 100% certain of the composers for the three unused songs, but I recognize the style of each song. "Wakka's Theme" is very clearly Uematsu, sounding much like FF9's soundtrack... "Illusion" is probably Nakano, sounding like Threads of Fate music, and "Nostalgia" sounds like it'd be right at home in SaGa Frontier 2, meaning it's probably Hamauzu. Don't quote me on that, though.

Xenogears:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Xenogears.rar

This one wasn't as badly mistimed as some of the others, but still needed some cleanup. Not a lot to say, really. There are a few minor songs missing, which isn't terribly surprising, as a lot of older PSF sets omitted a number of variant tracks and jingles for whatever reason.

Shadow Madness:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Shadow.rar

Fully tagged by Indogutsu, a good friend of mine. He actually did this a long time ago, but never submitted it anywhere, so I figured this was as good a time as any to do so.

As an aside, I was all set to submit a Brave Fencer Musashi cleanup, when I noticed that the set seemed to have been updated at some point. I'll hold off on that one for a while, until I can identify many of the unknown songs.

And have some Breath of Fire 3 while I'm at it:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/BOF3.rar

These timers were all over the place, frankly. Some timed for one loop, some timed for two loops, and some timed for... god only knows what. I love this game, and this soundtrack, though, so yay.

I kinda overhauled this one. I retitled several tracks (mostly for accuracy), and re-sorted the entirety of the majority of non-OST tracks into a more or less logical in-game order. The four "unknown" songs, I'm comfortable with saying are completely unused. I've played the game many times and never heard even one of them.

Finally, missing tracks include a variation of the victory theme used after boss battles, a variation of the Maekyss Gorge theme played outside Momo's Tower, and the dragon gene jingle. Maybe a few other minor ones I'm forgetting, too. And Pure Again and all OST exclusives, but that goes without saying, I suppose.

Just to make sure, YK, have you used this release for tagging? It expanded the original OST release from 1 CD, 31 tracks to 3 CDs, 95 tracks.

Ooh. No, I wasn't aware that existed. I'll seek it out sometime and retag it properly.

Five more.

Brave Fencer Musashi:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Musashi.rar

Retimed, as usual. I can't take credit for most of the tagging, though. I believe the set on Lawrence Lin's mirror has better and more accurate tagging, which is what I based this update off of. I *did* identify one track that was left "Unknown", though. I love this soundtrack.

As an aside I recall back in the days of the Yahoo PSF group, someone claiming to have found a streamed song within this game, but instead of uploading it, the guy created an entire new Yahoo group just to distribute it, which I didn't feel like joining for a single song. I wonder what that song was, and whatever became of it.

Battle Hunter:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Hunter.rar

I've never actually played this game, but I liked the soundtrack, so I retimed it. The order is... kinda guessed.

Now, for some USFs. It's amusing how tiny these are if you don't include the USFLibs.

Blast Corps:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/BlastCorps.rar

Man, this game is great. Soundtrack is, too. But the original USF set had some terrible tagging and the timers were all over the place. Had to use some imagination with the titles, but overall it's a lot less sloppy. Is there an official soundtrack release of this anywhere I could base titles on? I kinda doubt it, since Rare, like Nintendo, doesn't often release their soundtracks, but...

Lode Runner 3D:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/LR3D.rar

Never played this one, either, and didn't even attempt to order it. All I did was time it.

Killer Instinct Gold:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/KIGold.rar

Same as LR3D. Nothing but timers.

Suikoden 5:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Suiko5.zip

Almost fully titled... there were quite a number of non-OST songs here, and while I recognized a few, it was over a year ago that I last played the game, so unfortunately, there were still a fair number I can't readily place. Oddly, two songs (Mine Cart Madness and The DoReMi Elves) aren't on the OST, but *are* on some bonus disc of mostly arranged music. I don't recall hearing either in-game, either. So, yeah.

No, I did not upload the over 700 meg rip. It's simply a batch file and a notes file; in spite of the sheer number of tracks present, three songs were still, as far as I could tell, missing. Presumably streamed into movie files and whatnot, but I can't say for certain.

One day, I'll replay the game and properly title the various non-OST tracks, but for now... it's good enough. :P

EDIT: Another one!

Unlimited SaGa:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/usg.zip

Never played this mess, but I do like the soundtrack. Identifying the tracks was a fairly straightforward process. Yes, this is another batch file and notes file.

EDIT 2: Re-uploaded Unlimited SaGa batch file. I had some tracks mislabeled.

Arc the Lad 2:
http://snesmusic.jukor.net/music/Arc2.rar

The timers on this set were fine, but the titles were all in Japanese. So I changed them all to English, and as an added bonus, identified all the non-OST tracks.

Incidentally, any special reason why the Suikoden 5 update was uploaded, but not any of my other recent submissions? :P

Ugh, Arc the Lad 2 ost <3 thanks a lot for the retag, I was getting fed up with that Japanese-tagged set.
Also great to clear up what that one "Unknown" song was, since it's one of my favourites from the game ("Battle 7 (Arc 2)" it seems)
