So, I decided to start an IRC channel for SNESMusic, because, well, it was easy, and I'm on IRC all the time anyhow. #snesmusic at irc.slashnet.org; I also added it to the top of the forum for easy access.

So, I've since abandoned SlashNet and moved my primary IRC channel, so I figure it's time to move #snesmusic, as well. New location: irc.badnik.net, same channel name. See you there, I suppose. :P

Well I personally won't be migrating over to badnik anytime soon. Why not move to DS-IRC?

personally, i think either espernet or freenode would be good bets. both have good services (for what it's worth), esper has a huge game music community with many game music and other related channels (#zophar #mod_shrine #ocremix #vgmusic #8bc #theshizz #famitracker #thasauce #botb #chipmusic and probably others i am forgetting), freenode has ... i dunno, #usf? there's #vgmdb and #console_stream on other networks too.

failing that... oh well. i dunno if i will follow to badnik, #snesmusic doesn't really see a lot of activity anyways (it's difficult to justify connecting to a whole new network for the sake of one inactive channel with 3 people in!)

Welp, I joined. Now there's a whole two people in the channel.

Nah, there's not really much other reason to connect to this network, but hey, who cares, it's one SSL connection, one channel, and the NickServ query, so that's three buffers my client has to keep track of and log.

Maybe I'll join one or more of those other networks just to idle. The old EFnet #zsnes is nowhere near as popular as it once was. And there used to be a #zopharsdomain on EFnet.

I've re-opened the channel, #snesmusic on irc.badnik.net. I was getting a bit tired using #tcrf for SNESMusic-related discussions. So, yeah. :P
