Hey guys I am interested in composing my own music on the SNES hardware itself. So far I have the following materials:
OpenMPT (for actually composing the tunes)
SNESMOD (for converting Impulse Tracker files to SPC files)
SPC2ROM (for converting SPC files to ROM files)
Also FYI I use ZSNES and that Japanese SPC700 player for playback on my PC.
Basically I don't want to go the route of using a separate SNES Audio Processing Unit and use a copier of some sort to do it (as stated on the website). From your guys' experience what is the best device to do this? (getting authentic playback on the hardware) You list a copier (which use floppy disks) but nowadays there seems to be other more modern devices which do the same thing (AFAIK).
Your help is very much appreciated thank you.

Oh dear. I don't trust ZSNES, especially if you overdo the echo (resulting in data loss on real hardware because the echo buffer overwrites it: in SNESMod's case, the sample data is the first to go). And I'm not sure if SPC2ROM handles those conversions correctly... especially with echo.
Maybe if you have a SD card, you can use sd2snes and play your music that way: http://sd2snes.de/blog/
Also, for converting SPCs to music that can be played on a real SNES: I recomment spcplayer by mic (you either need WLA DX or a hex editor to use your own .spc files):
If you use a hex editor to modify the ROM, first, zero out all values past $8000. Then, enter a $04 at $8001, and an $EF at $8006. Then, copy your data from $00100-$10100 in the SPC file into $10000-$20000 in the ROM.
